Before You Invest (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides independent SEO and GEO advisory services, including the SEO Proposal Review. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.
1. Who we are

2. What we collect
When you submit a proposal for review, we collect:
- Full name
- Company name
- Business email address
- Website URL
- The SEO proposal document(s) you upload
- Any optional message you provide
- Your consent confirmation
We also automatically collect standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) via our hosting and security services, and analytics data via Google Site Kit, for the purposes described below.
3. How we use your data
- To review your submitted proposal(s) and produce your Decision Pack
- To confirm the scope of work and send you a secure payment link
- To communicate with you about your submission (confirmation, scope, delivery, and any follow-up call)
- To protect our forms from spam and abuse
- To understand how visitors use our site, so we can improve it
4. Our legal basis for processing
We process your data on the basis of: performance of a contract (to deliver the review you’ve requested), your explicit consent (given via the consent checkbox on our form), and our legitimate interests (such as preventing spam and keeping our records accurate).
5. Third parties we share data with
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate this site and deliver the review:
- Akismet (Automattic) — spam and bot filtering on our submission form
- Cloudflare Turnstile — bot verification on our submission form
- Stripe — payment processing, once the scope of your review has been confirmed
- Our website hosting provider — to store and serve site data and email
We do not sell your data. Your uploaded proposal is used only to produce your Decision Pack and is never shared with any third party, including the agency who originally sent it to you.
6. International transfers
Some of the third parties above may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on their own compliance with UK GDPR safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, as part of their standard terms of service.
7. How long we keep your data
We retain submitted proposals and related correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to deliver your review, respond to any follow-up questions, and meet our own accounting and legal obligations, after which they are deleted.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to our processing of your data
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled

10. Children’s privacy
Our services are intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
