These terms govern your use of beforeyouinvest.co.uk and any SEO Proposal Review service purchased from Before You Invest (“we”, “us”, “our”). By submitting a proposal for review, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
The SEO Proposal Review is an independent, evidence-led review of up to two SEO agency proposals (or an equivalent in-house plan), delivered as a PDF “Decision Pack” including a BYI Confidence Score, commercial risk assessment, missing-deliverables analysis, agency comparison, and a plain-English verdict. An optional 30-minute follow-up call is included.
The current price is £395 per review, covering up to two proposals submitted together. Pricing may change at any time; the price shown at the time of your submission applies to your order.
2. Process and payment
- You submit your proposal(s) via our secure form. No payment is taken at this stage.
- We review what you’ve submitted and confirm the scope of the review, usually within one working day.
- We send you a secure Stripe payment link once scope is confirmed.
- Your review begins once payment is received, and your Decision Pack is delivered within 5 working days.
3. Cancellations and refunds
If you are a consumer, you ordinarily have a 14-day right to cancel a service contract under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. However, by requesting that we begin your review once payment is made, you agree that we may start work immediately, and you acknowledge that your right to cancel is lost once the review has begun and been completed.
If you cancel before payment is made, no charge applies. If you wish to cancel after payment but before we have begun the review, contact us for a full refund. Once review work has started, refunds are not available, given the bespoke nature of the service.
4. Nature of the advice provided
Our review reflects our independent, professional opinion based on the information you provide. It is not financial, legal, or investment advice, and it is not a guarantee of any business outcome, ranking improvement, or result from acting (or not acting) on any proposal. Decisions based on our review remain your responsibility.
5. Confidentiality
Any proposal or document you submit is used only to produce your Decision Pack and is not shared with any third party, including the agency who authored it.
6. Intellectual property
Your Decision Pack is provided for your own internal business use. It may not be resold, redistributed, or published without our written permission. We retain all intellectual property rights in our report format, scoring framework, and branding.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or in connection with the service is limited to the fees you paid for that review. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or business loss, including loss of profits or opportunity, arising from decisions made based on our review.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
